The short version
- We collect what we need to coach you — your account details, the training data you connect through your data providers, and how you use the app.
- We use it to build your plan, guide your sessions, and improve the coaching — not to profile you for advertisers.
- We never sell your personal information.
- You can access, export, or delete your data — and disconnect any data provider — at any time.
This Privacy Policy describes how TriCamp LLC ("TriCamp", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the TriCamp mobile app, our website, and our pre-launch waitlist (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
01 Information we collect
We collect information in three ways: what you give us, what you connect, and what's generated as you use the Service.
Information you provide
- Account details — your name, email address, and password when you create an account.
- Athlete profile — your goals, race dates, experience level, weekly availability, and the coach persona you choose (Nadia or Marcus).
- Coaching conversations — the messages you exchange with your AI coach, and the feedback (👍/👎) you give on sessions.
- Payment information — handled by our app-store and payment processors; we receive a confirmation and subscription status, never your full card number.
Information you connect
- Connected training & health data — with your authorization, your activities, training load, heart rate, power, pace, distance, sleep, and related metrics from the services you link — such as Garmin, Wahoo, Apple Health (HealthKit), and Google Health Connect. See Section 3.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — screens viewed, features used, and how you interact with your plan and coach.
- Device & technical data — device model, operating system, app version, language, and a device identifier.
- Diagnostics — crash logs and performance data to keep the app reliable.
02 How we use your information
We use your information to deliver and improve the coaching experience:
- Build and adapt your plan — periodize your training around your race and adjust it as your real training rolls in.
- Coach you day to day — generate session guidance, readiness insights, debriefs, and race-day pacing.
- Power your AI coach — provide context to the AI so its guidance reflects your actual training. See Section 4.
- Operate your account — authentication, subscriptions, support, and important service notices.
- Improve the Service — understand what's working, fix bugs, and develop new features.
- Keep things safe — detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security issues.
Where required by law, we rely on a lawful basis for each use — typically performing our contract with you, your consent, or our legitimate interest in operating and improving TriCamp.
03 Connected services & data providers
TriCamp coaches you using the training and health data you choose to connect from third-party services. You authorize each connection explicitly, and we request only the data needed to coach you. Today we support — and are actively expanding — these data providers:
- Garmin — connect your Garmin account to sync activities recorded on your Garmin device, including heart rate, power, pace, distance, and related metrics.
- Wahoo — connect your Wahoo account to sync rides, runs, and workouts from your Wahoo devices and sensors.
- Apple Health (HealthKit) — on iOS, using the specific permissions you grant; provides your workouts and health metrics such as heart rate, resting heart rate, power, pace, distance, and sleep.
- Google Health Connect — on Android, using the specific permissions you grant; provides comparable workout and health metrics.
- Additional integrations — we're adding more training and health-data providers over time. When we do, the principles in this section apply to them too.
However you connect, the same rules apply:
- We access your data on an ongoing basis only while the connection is active, so your coach stays current.
- We use it solely to power your plan, sessions, and insights — never for advertising, and we never sell it.
- We request the minimum permissions needed, and you control exactly what each service shares.
- You can disconnect any service at any time from Settings → Connections in the app, or from that provider's own settings (for example, your Garmin or Wahoo account, the Apple Health app, or Google Health Connect). After you disconnect, we stop receiving new data from that source.
04 Your AI coach & your data
TriCamp's coaching is generated by AI models using the context you've shared — your profile, goals, training history, and conversations — to produce guidance tailored to you.
- Your data trains your coaching, not third-party ad models. We use your information to personalize your experience within TriCamp.
- We may use de-identified, aggregated data to evaluate and improve our coaching models. This data cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
- Where we use third-party AI infrastructure to generate responses, those providers process data under contract and are not permitted to use your content for their own purposes.
- AI coaching is guidance, not medical advice. Always consult a qualified professional before starting or changing a training program.
05 Pre-launch waitlist
Before TriCamp is available in the app stores, you can join our waitlist by giving us your email address. We use it for one purpose:
- To notify you at launch — we'll email you when TriCamp is available to download, plus the occasional update about our progress.
We store waitlist emails securely and never sell or share them. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time by contacting privacy@tricamp.ai.
07 Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active, and as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within 90 days, except where we're required to retain it (for example, for tax, legal, or fraud-prevention purposes). De-identified, aggregated data may be retained to improve our coaching models.
08 How we protect your data
We take security seriously and use industry-standard measures to protect your information:
- Encryption — your data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
- Access controls — personal data is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis, protected by strong authentication.
- Monitoring — we log and review access to sensitive systems and maintain safeguards against unauthorized access.
No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, but we work hard to protect your data and to notify you and the appropriate authorities if a breach affecting you occurs.
09 Your rights & choices
You have control over your information. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct information that's inaccurate or out of date.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Delete your account and personal data — see Section 10 for the steps.
- Withdraw consent — disconnect a linked service or opt out of non-essential emails at any time.
- Object or restrict certain processing, where applicable law provides that right.
You can exercise most of these directly in Settings → Privacy, or by emailing privacy@tricamp.ai. We won't discriminate against you for exercising your rights. We aim to respond within 30 days.
10 Deleting your account & data
You can delete your TriCamp account — and the personal data tied to it — at any time, right from the app. You don't need to email us or wait on support.
Delete your account in the app
- Open the You tab and go to Settings → Account → Delete account.
- Confirm in the dialog. To protect your account, we'll ask you to re-authenticate before we proceed.
- Your account is deactivated immediately, and we begin permanently deleting your data.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account removes your athlete profile, goals and race history, coaching conversations, readiness and training insights, and the training data we've stored from your connected services. We permanently delete or de-identify this information within 90 days. See Data retention for the limited exceptions we're legally required to keep.
Prefer we handle it? Email privacy@tricamp.ai from your account's email address and we'll delete your account and data on your behalf, typically within 30 days.
11 Children's privacy
TriCamp is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
12 International data transfers
TriCamp is operated from the United States, and your information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards — such as Standard Contractual Clauses — to protect your information when it's transferred across borders.
13 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as TriCamp evolves. If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app or by email before they take effect, and we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
